Start up your day with simple and healthy breakfast with this pancakes. It is fast to prepare and kids will love to have it. The ingredients are usually available in our houses all the time.  This is a basic pancake recipe.








Ingredients :

  • 1.5 cup – flour (all-purpose flour – sifted twice)
  • 2.5 teaspoon – baking powder (sifted with the flour)
  • 1 teaspoon – salt
  • 1 tablespoon – granulated sugar
  • 1 and 1/4 cup – milk
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tablespoon – butter ( melted )
  • 1 teaspoon – vanilla essence or lemon essence

Methods :

  1. Sift the flour and baking powder together, twice.
  2. In another bowl , whisk together milk, melted butter, sugar, essences, salt and egg.
  3. Add in the sifted flour and baking powder (slowly) into the wet ingredients bowl and whisk well.
  4. Use hand whisk to get a smooth batter. If the mix seems to be thick a bit, then add little more milk.
  5. Usual hand whisk take 5 minutes to reach a smooth consistency.
  6. Let the batter to rest 5 minutes, while preparing the pan for cooking.
  7. Grease the pan slightly with butter, in medium heat. Pour about 1/4 cup batter for each pancakes.
  8. Cook for about 1 minutes each side or till slightly browned.
  9. Serve with pancake syrup, fruit jam, chocolate syrup, butter, ice-cream, maple syrup or honey as topping.

Note :

  • Sift flour twice. Let the batter rest for 5 minutes after mix, it will result in a fluffy pancakes.
  • Use medium heat pan to cook the pancakes. If the heat is not consistence, the pancake surfaces (brown color) may not been even after cook.
  • You may pour in 3 or 4 portion of batter into the pan in 1 go and get many mini pancakes.
